The world of objects I create, this is a constructor of an aesthetic frame of mind, influences a person in such a way that activates his senses, 
it stimulates his fantasy, develops his intellect and emotions, 
elaborate his taste and requirements. 

Any modern interior for life or recreation, work of sports,
be it a museum or an apartment,
a boutique or an office, a clinic or a gallery
requires an ideally balanced art space.

Виктор Фрейденберг - автор изысканых объектов и пространств. Он создает эмоциональные произведения, дающие яркий эффект эстетического воздействия на человека.

Квартира площадью 42 кв. м, к тому же с диагональной несущей стеной, из-за чего образуется совершенно нефункциональный острый угол, – настоящее уравнение с несколькими неизвестными. Фрейденберг решил его минималистично, артистически изящно, поистине с математической точностью, благодаря чему каждый миллиметр полезного пространства был использован. В небольшом помещении четко выделены основные функциональные зоны. При этом квартира свободно просматривается по диагонали, ничто не препятствует дневному свету. Общее пространственное решение основано на примыкании плоскостей и объемов. Проемы разной высоты, перегородки, двери, мебель образуют сложную и вместе с тем гармоничную разноуровневую композицию, которая в двухмерном варианте (например, на фотографии) вполне сопоставима с композицией абстракционистских полотен. Две тонкие перегородки высотой в рост заказчика (а зачем, собственно говоря, делать их выше?) отделяют зону спальни, к которой с двух сторон примыкают диван и рабочий стол. И это не обычный стол. Его можно сдвинуть в сторону гостиной – получится замеча тельный журнальный столик, он же подставка для ноутбука. Вся мебель, спроектированная в полном соответствии с концепцией Ahh! дизайна, выполнена из обычной фанеры и отделана шпоном выбеленного клена. С помощью авторской шлифовки фанеры дизайнер получает невероятно красивую «слоеную» текстуру. Еще один важный аспект поисков: примыкание не только конструкций, плоскостей, но и различных удожественных фактур. Живописная отделка пола выполнена вручную: и роспись, и способ нанесения особых прозрачных пластификаторов - ноу-хау автора. По такому сверкающему полу, учитывая, что он с подогревом, чрезвычайно приятно ходить босиком (чем не интерактивность!). И все же главную роль в этом «Ахх!» интерьере играет свет. Во входной зоне, как и во всей квартире, между панелью потолка и стенами оставлены зазоры, в которых расположены люминесцентные лампы. Любую из них можно легко отключить, снять, подвесить на стене на специальных вешалках-крючках, меняя освещение и художественную композицию всего интерьера. Это не просто лампы, это «электрорастения», гибкие стебли которых корнями уходят в розетки, откуда и получают живительное для себя электричество. Подобный подход дает возможность оживить и эстетизировать такие неприглядные, по общему мнению, вещи, как провода, штепсели и розетки. За «электрорастение» c трогательным названием Beautyk («Красавчик») Фрейденберг, кстати, первым из российских дизайнеров получил престижную Международную премию Red Dot. В использовании светоцветовой сценографии не упущена ни одна возможность. Сквозь волнистые листы полупрозрачного цветного пластика на окнах солнечный свет цветными бликами падает на глянцевый пол. И, как от воды, мерцающий свет отражается на расписанных стенах – магия визуальных эффектов порождает эстетическое наслаждение. 

The concept behind Viktor Freydenberg's Ahh! Design is a striking creative manifesto in Russian contemporary art design

 Victor Freydenberg is an author of refined objects and spaces. He composes emotional creations, giving bright effect of aesthetic influence on the person.

A 42m2 apartment with a diagonal loadbearing wall that creates an utterly nonfunctional acute angle is a true equation with unknowns, but Freydenberg has solved it with artistic elegance, with truly mathematical exactness, making use of every millimtre of available space. He has clearly differentiated the principal functional zones in this small apartment. Moreover, there is a clear view through the apartment along the diagonal, with nothing impeding the flow of daylight. According to Freydenberg, the overall spatial design is based on the juxtaposition of planes and volumes. The doorways of differing heights, partitions, doors, and furniture form a complex and at the same time harmonious multilevel composition which, when presented in a twodimensional format (for instance, in a photograph), resembles an abstract painting. The two slender partitions of the same height as the client (and why should they be any higher?) separate the bedroom zone, which is bordered by a sofa and desk. This, though, is no ordinary desk. When moved in the direction of the living room, it becomes a perfect coffee table and stand for a notebook. All the furniture, which conforms completely to Freydenberg's Ahh! concept, has been made from ordinary plywood lined with veneer of bleached maple. By finesanding the plywood, Freydenberg has achieved an incredibly beautiful ‘layered’ texture. And this is another important aspect of the project: the juxtaposition not just of constructions and planes, but also of different textures. The floor, decorated by hand by the designer himself (a painted pattern topped by a sealant and a decorative layer of transparent plastificators) is extremely pleasant to walk on barefoot, especially given that is heated. And yet the main role in this Ahh! interior is played by the lighting – or, to be more exact, by “interactive optical art installations generating bright emotions.” In the entrance areas, as throughout the apartment, a gap has been left between the ceiling panel and the walls; this gap contains ordinary luminescent lamps (switched on separately, rather than linked together in an integrated system – any one of them can be turned off, taken out, hung on the wall. These are not simply lamps, but 'electroplants' whose flexible stems are rooted in the sockets from which they derive their sustaining electricity. This makes it possible to animate and aestheticize things that are usually regarded as unsightly, such as wires, connector plugs, and sockets. For his 'electroplant', touchingly named ‘Beautyk’, Freydenberg was awarded the Red Dot – incidentally, the first time this prestigious prize has been given to a Russian designer. No opportunity has been wasted in the use of coloured lighting for dramatic purposes. Through undulating sheets of semitransparent coloured plastic on the windows sunlight falls in polychrome flashes on the glossy floor. The light also reflects on the walls, creating magic visually effects that aesthetic delight.
